Jane Woodward, MSW, LICSW — Founder & Lead Clinician

Licensed in NH, ME, MA, VT, and Illinois

Jane offers a unique blend of evidence-based therapies and individualized, compassionate care. Her work is grounded in EMDR, DBT-informed strategies, and expressive therapies, supporting deep healing for teens (12+) and adults.

Raised in rural Maine, Jane brings a lifelong connection to nature, a love of outdoor life, and a grounded, calming presence into her work. She believes in prioritizing ethical care, ongoing clinical learning, and authentic relationships with her clients. Jane has dedicated many years to the mental health field and continues to love the work as much as when she began. As the practice expands, she looks forward to supporting new clinicians and nurturing a collaborative, values-driven team.

Jane and her senior golden retriever, Brady, look forward to welcoming you into the space.

Sarah Ahearn M.A. — Mental Health Counselor (Under Supervision)

Degree: M.A. in Mental Health Counseling & Expressive Therapies, Lesley University

Sarah brings many years of experience in human services and is deeply committed to providing compassionate, competent care. As both an artist and therapist, she believes that art and therapy are powerful forms of expression — and even more transformative when used together.

Her work is grounded in the belief that creativity and healing go hand in hand. Through imagination, emotional expression, and mind-body awareness, Sarah helps clients connect with their authentic selves and discover their strengths. She tailors her approach to each individual, integrating expressive therapy, talk therapy, and body-based methods to support meaningful change.

Sarah is also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a trauma-focused therapy that helps clients process overwhelming experiences, reduce emotional distress, and move toward healthier beliefs and patterns.

When she’s not working, Sarah enjoys spending time in nature, creating art, and relaxing with her beloved pet bird, Bertie.

Sarah is currently located in our satellite office at 41 Industrial Drive, Building 2, Unit 5, Exeter, NH 03833. Hours: Monday - Thursday, 10 am - 7 pm.

Brady — Office Manager

Brady is the kind of  office manager who may or may not look up when you arrive. He thinks it’s great that you are here, and if you are in distress, he may check you out or even lay his head on your knee. He does believe that you are here for his benefit, however.

He believes strongly in, and frequently displays, self care skills such as napping, ignoring and clearly asking for what you need. He is a pet, not a certified therapy dog because (shrugs) how could he possibly be improved upon???

At ten years of age, he is a loving sweet boy who waits by the door to come “see the peoples!” every day. You might notice he is a pirate, having only one eye.  In 2023 he underwent surgery to remove a tumor there. He adjusted shockingly well, and is a model of acceptance and facing reality with a zen-like serenity.

Healing is collaborative. We walk beside you, offering structure, support, and strategies customized to your needs.
